Civilization meets fantasy.

Upheaval is a turn-based civilization-type game, with the odd twist that you're often doing it on an island wracked by war between gods. It is kept simple to avoid the later game bogging down common to 4X games. Build various industry and population centers, and in the case of Atlantis, build ships to get the heck out of there. In the case of Upheaval, strike back with your lightning guns.

This is a quite playable game.

Complexity is moderate, with a typical completion in less than an half an hour.
