Run the CIA during the height of the Cold War. Protect democracy by doing underhanded things.

Cold War Spy is a turn-based strategic game on running the U.S. spy operations in Europe, assisted by your NATO allies, against the Soviets and their Warsaw Pact minions. Assign your agents to missions against the Communists' missions.

Complexity is moderate, with a typical completion in an hour.

Here is a well-organized operation in Paris by your spy teams.

Beat this :)

Poor Dika

A good spy game should be devious. To give one example of how devious Cold War Spy is,
one of the missions is to stop a mad scientist from blowing up Oslo with an atomic bomb.
The Soviets even agree to help against this menace, and send Agent Dika to help.
Running a spy operation is a cynical business, here is some things that happened to Dika,
hence why she is known as "poor Dika".

Let Dika take point on the operation. His 4 henchmen blow her away, and my spies come in right behind and kill the mad scientist.

Soviets send 2 agents to help her and my spies' combined attack. Seeing a priceless opportunity to have 3 Communist agents disappear in a mushroom cloud,
I pull my spies out. Very Cold War Spy. To my surprise, the Communists stopped the bomb.
Dika dead and the other 2 wounded, but I almost expected Norway to turn Communist in their honor.

Let Dika do her own attack, with mine scheduled to hit the following turn. To my surprise,
the henchmen did a Seduce attack on her. Much more to my surprise, next turn there was an extra hench-Man there
(there are no henchwomen in the game). It seems they did a gender change operation on her.

Poor Dika! What can you do to her?
